"Late Night Train" is the first song from Tom Forst's new "Suit" album, "World of Broken Hearts". The video was directed by Mark Alan, with director of photography John Shilovski. Filmed on the streets of Harlem, New York, as well as the New York subway.
The 5-song EP was produced by Ethan Isaac,
and recorded at Factory Underground Studios in Norwalk, Connecticut. The album features guest vocalist Christine Allman (Rock 'n' Soul Queen, vocalist of the Saturday Night Live Band), guitarist Paul Nelson (Johnny Winter), guitarist Ryan Hommel (Amos Lee), blues harper James Montgomery, and drummer Travis McNabb (Sugarland,
Better Than Ezra). His first album, On Fire, was released in 2016, and was produced by Grammy Winner Nelson. Nelson played the electric guitar solo on "Late Night Train".
A rock musician to the core who joined the corporate world to “earn food and college for his kids,” Forst began his journey.
which led to a twenty-five year career in television advertising. While he decided to make music all the time, Forst was Vice President of Sales at Cox Media, a major cable television company.
“I loved it, but I always thought about going back to music one day. The starting point was the day
when my wife and I paid the final college fee for our youngest child. I filed a letter of resignation and started playing music all day, ”he said.
Forst toured the United States and China, as well as hosting over 200 shows a year with his band, as well as performing as a solo artist or guest guest.
He will be actively promoting his album in the new year, also touring China for the second time in April 2020.
"Late Night Train" is the first track from the new EP. Forst took a fresh look at classic blues train songs, comparing them to the modern subway, but retaining their old charm.
