Hardtechno is a form of Techno music which developed post-2000 from Schranz and Hardcore Techno. In its earlier incarnation during the early 1990s, Techno music which was off a harder nature was known then as Hardcore Techno. The style later evolved over the years into a newer sound which was much different to its original Techno roots. Influenced by the Schranz genre, Hardtechnos new style incorporated a much faster tempo and more prominent and heavily distorted kick drum patterns. drCat95
